2nd Green Initiative Networking - June 24

The goal of this event, at The Tasting Room (Uptown Park Blvd.) was to stimulate the exchange of ideas and expertise between American and European interests, and to establish contact with like-minded individuals and organizations in the United Sates.

A presentation of Russel E. Smith, Executive Director of the Texas Renewable Energy Industries Association (TREIA), of the "green" energy market state, ended in a true debate animated by Mister Peter Brown, council member of the city, on the way to push Houston towards a more environmental-friendly future, without economic losses.

Bastille Day Celebration - July 14, 2007

The Bastille Day celebration takes place every year on July 14th. People in cities around the world celebrate Bastille Day, the day that marks the beginning of the French Revolution that took place in 1789.
In Houston this celebration of freedom and fraternity presents a unique opportunity to highlight and appreciate French culture, food, products, beverages and entertainment. In Houston, the celebration is organized by the French-American Chamber of Commerce, The French Consulate and the Alliance Française. This year, the event took place at the JP Morgan Chase Bank lobby Downtown Houston on Saturday, July 14th. More than 600 guests, among whom a few local and state officials attended the event and enjoyed French food, champagne and white wine in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
A cognac bar was available, courtesy of Cognac Ferrand, as well as diverse entertainment such as a magic show or a French music concert, giving the final touch to the celebration. A raffle also took place, providing the winner with a trip for 2 persons in Paris, compliments of Air France. We would like to thank our Sponsors for having been part of the event and thanks to all of you for coming and making the Bastille Day celebration a success.
