Roles and missions

The Houston Chapter is one of 19 chapters of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in the U.S. It is an independent, non-profit, member-driven organization with the goal of promoting and developing commercial and financial relations between France and the United States in the Houston area. To achieve this goal, the Chamber organizes events to bring members together in the spirit of establishing contacts and expanding the economic relationship between both countries.

However, we also exist to offer networking opportunities to the local business community at large. We feel very strongly that creating personal contacts is vital to our success. To foster the dialogue between various businesses and sectors, we organize international networking events such as luncheons, business card exchanges, thematic business seminars, trade shows, etc.

Our members are businesses and people involved in French-American commerce or those who are very interested in both countries, products and culture. Professional and personnal contacts are reinforced by frequent luncheons and seminars for our members. Our members also receive and have access to our local and national membership directories.

The FACC is present in the following cities:
Atlanta, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinatti, Dallas/Fort Worth, Houston, Los Angeles, Louisiana, Miami, Michigan, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New England, New York, Northern Ohio, Philadelphia, Rocky Mountain-Denver, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C.

Each Chapter is independent and elects its own directors. Every FACC organization has the same general goal:

- To encourage the sale of goods and services between the two countries and to promote a better understanding of international relations.

- To provide information on the economic situation and the work environment in France as well as in the U.S. as conducive to promoting commercial and industrial entrepreneurial investment in one country or the other.

- To work in France and in the U.S. with different governmental, economic, diplomatic and consular associations that pursue similar goals.

- To facilitate contact between our members and theirs so as to develop solid commercial, economic and financial relationship between the two countries.
